Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a trip to meet with national troops in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he consulted fighters at the command post of the first unit of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya zone, an urban center approximately a short distance from the city.

Volatile Situation in the Region

Updated analysis from a Ukrainian project revealed that invading troops had pushed further into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by either side. The conditions are severe, with accounts indicating that Russian forces were digging in and enhancing fortifications in some districts.

Invading troops continue to advance in the Pokrovsk front and seem to be functioning with enhanced confidence within Pokrovsk itself.

Research institutes commented that national troops had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk operation.

Kyiv's Aerial Attacks Within the Federation

Ukrainian long-range drones struck a factory approximately 1,300km inside the federation at Sterlitamak. Regional authorities confirmed a blast at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to be compromised, adding that the reason for the blast was not known. The Russian ruler also approved legislation permitting draft enrollment throughout the year whereas earlier it occurred only during restricted intervals in autumn and spring. Moscow legally bars recruits from being assigned to fighting, but after their defense commitment they become part of the backup units, placing them in danger of being assigned to combat zones.

Significant armed forces costs have also started to pressure the national finances, with Moscow raising taxes to plug a rising deficit.

Zelenskyy's Requests for International Support

The Ukrainian president called on America to stay receptive to delivering to the nation with extended-distance arms.
